Well thanks to my good friend Courtney I have decided to try out blogging. She has done such a cute job with her blog about Cooper and Libby that I thought I might give it a try!

I started this blog to keep family and friends updated on Adam's daily progress. Adam was born May '07. At 2 1/2 months he was diagnosed with Williams Syndrome. He has aortic valve stenosis and pulmonary stenosis. He has had one heart surgery, 3 heart catherizations and hernia surgery. He is sweet, healthy, and a blessing to our family!

Hey! Definitely a ton of sleep problems since Payton was born. We couldn't figure out why she wouldn't sleep (basically cried all the time)....when she was finally diagnosed @ 14 months they told us this is common with ws. She takes melatonin before bed. It helps her calm down enough to go to sleep, but doesn't keep her asleep. It's not unusual at all for her to be fine with just 4-5 hours of sleep. I know some children with ws actually take sleeping medication so their parents can get a good night's sleep. If you post something about it on the listserve you'll get some good tips - and see that this is definitely an issue with ws. Hang in there....and so glad you are blogging!!!!
